The\u00a028th PwC Global CEO Survey<\/strong>\u00a0reveals that\u00a0generative artificial intelligence (AI)<\/strong>\u00a0has firmly established itself as a critical component of business strategies worldwide. Among the\u00a04,701 CEOs from 109 countries<\/strong>\u00a0surveyed,\u00a0one-third<\/strong>\u00a0reported that generative AI boosted their companies\u2019\u00a0revenue and profitability<\/strong>\u00a0over the past year, and nearly\u00a0half<\/strong>\u00a0expect their investments in this technology to further increase\u00a0profits<\/strong>\u00a0in the next\u00a012 months<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

When focusing on executives in the\u00a0insurance and reinsurance sector<\/strong>,\u00a027%<\/strong>\u00a0of respondents reported a\u00a0revenue increase<\/strong>\u00a0due to generative AI. Additionally, these leaders are notably more\u00a0optimistic<\/strong>\u00a0about their companies\u2019\u00a0revenue growth<\/strong>\u00a0in the coming year (56%<\/strong>) compared to the\u00a0global average (38%)<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Overall, more than\u00a0half (56%)<\/strong>\u00a0of business leaders indicated that generative AI has\u00a0improved employees\u2019 time efficiency<\/strong>, underscoring the growing\u00a0automation of routine tasks<\/strong>. This shift allows teams to focus on\u00a0higher-value activities<\/strong>, driving productivity and innovation.<\/p>\n

However, the\u00a0adoption of generative AI<\/strong>\u00a0is not without\u00a0challenges<\/strong>. A\u00a0lack of trust in the technology<\/strong>\u00a0remains a significant obstacle to broader implementation. Currently,\u00a0fewer than one-third<\/strong>\u00a0of CEOs are\u00a0systematically integrating AI<\/strong>\u00a0into their teams\u2019 capabilities, highlighting the need for\u00a0stronger strategies<\/strong>\u00a0to build\u00a0trust<\/strong>\u00a0and\u00a0competence<\/strong>\u00a0in utilizing these emerging tools.<\/p>\n

Overall,\u00a0CEOs are increasingly optimistic<\/strong>\u00a0about the\u00a0economic outlook<\/strong>. Nearly\u00a060% of global executives<\/strong>\u00a0expect\u00a0global economic growth<\/strong>\u00a0to rise over the next\u00a012 months<\/strong>, a significant jump from\u00a038% last year<\/strong>. This\u00a0optimism<\/strong>\u00a0also extends to\u00a0employment expectations<\/strong>, with\u00a042% of CEOs<\/strong>\u00a0planning to\u00a0expand their workforce<\/strong>.<\/p>\n
